Long-distance move from Alabama to Arizona

Two words.

Lowlife scamming company!! Sh*tbags! Attempted to make contact with the company and all we got was a voicemail! Lowlife scamming business! I'm going to drive up to NJ to the address listed. Gonna set the record straight in person. If you are part of this business, be in your best interest to quit!

Long-distance move from Idaho to Colorado

Terrible Company.

Told me over and over that my things would arrive in a couple days, finally arrived 1 month later. I was promised a refund of part of the security deposit after the estimate changed, and still have not received it. Filed a complaint with the Better business bureau and the company said they would not grant the refund unless I cancelled my complaint. Terrible customer service. This company did nothing but lie and make promises they couldn't keep. Only after your money.

Long-distance move from West Virginia to Pennsylvania

Move from H--L.

Never again! Showed up at 1pm. A driver and one helper. At pick up driver produced a "list" of household items that we had not seen nor reviewed and reflected only 2/3rds of our household goods. Refused to move remaining items unless we paid an additional $5000!! We spent 3 hours on phone with Map Systems and the contractor "Better Rate Movers" (HAH!). We were moving 100 miles, so after several hours found a rental (not easy on the last day of the month and just before the 4th of July weekend) 10' truck and had to make three round trips through the night to get those items moved that they would not take. Pickup took 22 HOURS! Loaded our items in the dark. Had to use their cell phones to see in the truck. Only had middle of truck to pack our items--despite Map Systems telling us we would have a full truck.
Had arranged to have mattresses and TV's boxed ----wrong --- wrapped somewhat but laid out in the damp overnight awaiting loading. When getting into truck driver informed me they had been working continuously for 3 entire days and had been instructed to go directly to another job after ours.

Delivery was almost as bad---supposed to be July 6th, then told they had "30 days" to deliver. After many calls, told they would deliver July 7..then told the 'truck broke down'; then told July 8th-but truck not repaired, then July 9th told by the contractor that their 'dispatch staff do not work on Saturday --- to call back Sunday to get a date for delivery sometime the following week. Arrived in a Penske truck, at 5 pm on Saturday night. We had relatives on hand the 7th and 8th but not able on the 9th, so..we unwrapped everything, folded blankets and collected trash so that we did not have to spend another 22 hours on delivery. Left at 1:30 am!
We have experienced a number of contract moves over time and this by far was absolutely the worst. Bad information up front, inadequate responses by customer service during and damage to our furniture by the movers. Definitely would not recommend Map Systems or Better Rate Movers to anyone ever. One star is an over-rating.

Long-distance move from Florida to New Jersey

Horrible from start to finish.

My parents booked them for July 23rd..they were supposed to arrive between 1pm-3pm. They didn't arrive until 7 pm! They left at 11pm and STILL weren't finished loading. They promised to be back at 5 am and didn't show until 6:30 am. My family was supposed to hit the road early and got delayed because of them. Oh..and their original quote was $3600.00. They told them it was going to cost over $5000 for a few extra items, and crating. (Their idea of crating was to scotch tape a piece of cardboard on one side of an item). They drove the truck to another location about an hour away, and transferred it to another truck..why would you do that?? They arrived several days later and moved everything into storage. It sat untouched for 1 month while my parents waited to close on their house. We began unloading some of the smaller items a week ago, to find scrapes and damage on some items. 3 days ago we rented a u-haul to remove all the heavy items and boxes left in storage. Over and over, we kept finding scrapes and deep chips on their beautiful furniture. Many items so far are missing. The only one item they left wrapped in cardboard and furniture pads was an end piece to a wall unit. As my dad and boyfriend carried it into the house, they heard rattling. They stood it up and slowly removed the pads..SHATTER..shards and broken bits of glass everywhere. They tried to cover this up by leaving it wrapped..like no one was going to see it? They are still going through everything so they can send a list and pictures when they file a claim. Of couse Map Systems is not great about returning calls, and this lousy moving company..Victory Moving and Storage wont return calls at all. If they don't settle this, legal action WILL be taken. Would NEVER recommend either of these companies..they are all about ripping you off and destroying/stealing your property.

Long-distance move from Michigan to Tennessee

RUN! You'll regret it if you hire this company! ZERO stars!

RUN! Find a different moving company! Do not use this company, you will regret it! READ reviews about this company on the web! If they move you, you will regret it! Broken big screen TVs, missing, stolen possessions..please read the reviews! Map Systems are NOT a moving company! They are BROKERS! They had NO PROBLEM lying to me repeatedly on the phone to get my credit card and a deposit of $1350 for services never rendered..which they have NOT given back to me. Seth from the company CALLED ME after getting my phone# from a company who sold my information that I was looking for a mover. On 11-11-16 Seth said he'd move me the next day at 9am (11-12-16) from MI to TN. He told me I could pay w/a credit card when I got to TN. He told me the moving van that was going to show up to move me in the morning would say Map Systems on it. A couple hours later a driver called me to confirm my move & asked how I was going to pay. I told him w/a credit card & I asked him what was going to be the name on the moving truck & he told me Budget..(NOT Map Systems). He hung up. He called me back 10 minutes later & told me he would not take a credit card, only a money order from a post office. I immediately called Map Systems but they were closed..I did leave a message. These people have NO PROBLEM lying to customers or the bank..over & over again. They will take your money & not provide any services. And they won't give you your money back & they'll lie to the bank when you try to charge them back. They did not show up to move me the next day & won't return my money. It probably was a blessing that they didn't move me because at least my possessions are still in my possession & not damaged. Allied ended up moving me & they said NEVER ever give a moving company a deposit, that reputable companies will NOT ask for money up front! I did not have to pay ANY money $ until they got me to my new home in TN. And this was a 5 bedroom house, not a small load. Map Systems are a devious unethical boiler room operation taking your $ & handing out your move to devious movers who would never be hired otherwise. RUN! Call a well known reputable company or you will REGRET IT! My pain & loss is here to help you avoid a miserable heartbreaking mistake!

Long-distance move from California to New York

Do Not Use Map Systems For Your Move!

They are, by far, the worst company I have ever dealt with. Indeed, the moniker "too good to be true" rings loud here. You definitely get what you pay for with them, which is a horrible, stressful experience. My items were picked up two days late (even though I paid extra for an exact date pick-up), and were delivered seven days late. The difference between my original quote and what I ended up paying was over $1,500. MAP Systems not only have the worst customer experience I have ever seen, they also nickel and dime their customers. This company only cares about money in their pocket, not the customer.

Long-distance move from Arkansas to Florida

Moving and Delivery.

Horrible service! A day late for pick up. Delivery was the worst. They picked my furniture up with a Penskys truck. They deliver my furniture in a semi truck. They added an extra 1500.00 dollars at drop off. The truck would not come into the apartment area. I had to rent a Uhaul. They put my things on the UHaul. then they were threw. Next, I had to hire more movers, to unload. They destroyed my large standing lamp, couch table, the couch color was damage and legs. They did not wrap the couch, a brand new couch. They also, took my side by side refrigerator apart, they mess up the doors, stuff the inside of the refrigerator with traveling bags and parts were missing. The dining room table was taken apart, the screws were missing. My big screen TV never made it. They're saying, I receive it. They are liars. I am so hurt. I have lost so much, plus my money. ..I pray filing a claim HELPS..SPECIAL NOTE..DO NOT USE THERE STORAGE. YOUR THINGS WILL LEAVE ARKANSAS AND BE STORE IN CHICAGO.
